Israeli Spyware Firm Paragon Linked to WhatsApp Zero-Click Attack

WhatsApp recently uncovered a targeted spyware campaign, linked to the Israeli firm Paragon, that affected approximately 90 individuals, including journalists and civil society members. The attack, which involved the distribution of malicious PDF files, was a “zero-click” attack, requiring no user interaction. WhatsApp has issued a cease and desist letter to Paragon and released a security update to address the vulnerability.
