New FrigidStealer Malware Targets macOS Users via Fake Browser Updates

A new malware campaign, attributed to threat actor TA2727, is targeting macOS users with a new information stealer called FrigidStealer. The campaign, which leverages web injects and fake browser updates, has been active since at least September 2022 and has previously targeted Windows and Android users. FrigidStealer, like other macOS malware, requires users to bypass Gatekeeper protections and can harvest files, sensitive information, and system passwords.
